CALIXAM is a medicinal product available as dispersible tablets for oral use, each containing 20 mg of

piroxicam as active substance. 

Pharmacotherapeutic group: Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs;

CALIXAM is used to relieve some symptoms caused by osteoarthritis (arthrosis, degenerative joint

disease), rheumatoid arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis (rheumatism of the spine), such as

swelling, stiffness and joint pain. 

HOW TO TAKE CALIXAM

Adults and elderly

The maximum daily dose is 20 mg of piroxicam as one single daily dose.

If you are over 70 years your doctor may prescribe a lower daily dose and reduce the duration of

treatment.

CALIXAM dispersible tablets may be administered at any time, preferably during or after the

ingestion of food and with an abundant amount of liquid.
