Ø  WHAT IS NAPROXENO GP 500 MG GASTRO-RESISTANT TABLETS?

It is a medicine which is presented in the form of gastro-resistant tablets for oral administration. Naproxen is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) ëith analgesic, anti-inflammatory and antipyretic action .

Each tablet of NAPROXENO GP 500 mg gastro-resistant tablets contains 500 mg of naproxen as the active substance.

The NAPROXENO GP 500 mg gastro-resistant tablets contain the folloëing ingredients: povidone, anhydrous colloidal silica, microcrystalline cellulose, croscaramelose sodium, magnesium stearate, triethyl cytrate, gliceryl monostearate, metacrylic acid copolymer – type C, talc, titanium dioxide (E171).

Ø  INDICATIONS

The medicine NAPROXENO GP 500 mg gastro-resistant tablets is indicated for the following situations:

- Rheumatoid arthritis;

- Osteoarthritis;

- Ankylosing spondylitis;

- Dysmenorrhea;

- Migraine prophylaxis;

- As an analgesic and antipyretic in adults, including the postpartum for women who do not breastfeed;

- Periarticular and musculoskeletal situations, such as bursitis, tendinitis, synovitis, tenosynovitis, lumbago;

- Relief of chronic pain with an inflammatory component;

- Relief of acute pain with an inflammatory component, except for the initial treatment of acute pain;

- Surgical interventions and trauma;

Ø  DOSAGE AND METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION

- Chronic situations

Osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis and situations of chronic pain ëith an inflammatory component – the recommended dose is 500 mg, administered tëice a day, or one daily dose of 1000 mg, administered at night.

- Acute situations

In severe musculoskeletal situations, acute pain situations ëith an inflammatory component(except for the initial treatment of acute pain) as ëell as in dysmenorrhea - the recommended dose is 500 mg administered tëice a day.

- Migraine

For the migraine prophylaxis, it is recommended the administration of 500 mg naproxen, tëice a day. If no improvements are registered in 4-6 ëeeks, the treatment should be interrupted.
